Coming of age meets coming into power. This YA collection brings together unforgettable stories that don’t shy away from the raw, the real, or the radical.

YA books are written for teenagers, typically aged 13 to 18. These stories tackle more complex themes and emotions, often featuring teen protagonists navigating coming-of-age journeys, relationships, and real-world issues.

Here at MAKES SENSE TO ME we embrace difference and disability, that is to say we understand there are many ways to learn, process and read. For that reason we don’t observe the national reading age, and make recommendations based on the individual not the norm. We celebrate that readers of all ages enjoy YA, Comics, Graphic Novels and Picture Books. YA is a broad and vibrant category, and while it’s designed for teens, it’s beloved by adults and readers of all backgrounds.
